Get that great opening !


After reading the different story openings in Chapter 2 of Secondary English 3 its now YOUR TURN.
Your job for this week is to write five very different story openings. Remember the characteristics that we discussed of a good story opening-
- Establish a mood
- Establish a setting
- Establish characters’ voices

But most of all it should have

- the quality of compulsion which makes you want to read on and find out what happens next.
You are to write an opening for five different genres of story. You can select the genres from the list below. Each paragraph should be a minimum of fifty words.
Once you have written your five different types of openings you are to type them up and post them on your blog. When you have done that post them on the appropriate pages in the wiki
